You came & sat by me, with your eyes all full of flame. I bid you untie me, good intentions flew away. You knew me deeply, though we had never met. You touched me so sweetly, with your probing field of wit. Knowing we would have to say goodbye, we let the music fly. Complementary lines flew off an old log in the dark You slowly drew closer, like kindling to the spark. We caught so quickly, like lightning lit up the sky, Then thunder struck, foundation shook, & quietly fell to the night. Knowing we would have to say goodbye, we let the music fly. [Bridge] Sun will rise again, just like she always do. Clouds will part again, in spite of the want of you. She’s gonna rise again & paint that pallid sky. She’s gonna rise again like a caged bird she will fly. Oh please kiss me deeply, before you fly away. Let the silence not find us, with empty hands I pray. For nobody knows me, just like I want you to. No one else can hold me, with my head all full of you. Knowing we would have to say goodbye, Not knowing the when or even the why, we let the music fly.

Chorus: Please tell me that I’m mistaken Your heart is taken, & I should go my way Just tell me I’m wrong to, have feelings this strong When you don’t feel the same. I shouldn't feel blindsided by love unrequited, I guess I misunderstood That once again Perfection is the Enemy of Good. The sun is shining & touching everything but me. The rain is falling under my umbrella And nowhere else it seems. It’s not like I’ve never loved before & I will likely love again. But I thought we were friends, and this is how it ends. Chorus Please tell me that I’m mistaken Your heart is taken Chorus

Dream Alone 03:57
Dream alone, for the night is so loud & the chill is biting. Dream alone, alone under your blanket of tears for fears. For I know, there’s someone up ahead & they’re never turning. Yes I know, I know well the one that forgot to be forgotten. Chorus: Cast a spell on the night, let me sleep in blackness, blind to the sight of you, Cast a spell in my heart, let me see only joy that is right in front of me. For there’s nowhere to turn with your eyes already closed. And there’s nowhere to run when you’re chasing a ghost, chasing a ghost. Dream alone, though the time is cruel & the hours pass slow. Dream alone, for in solitude you’ll find nobody’s gonna save you. For I know, yes I know well the war that is never won. (War is never won) Yes I know, battling the thoughts of the one that never wanted you. Chorus Dream Alone, tear down the walls of the uninvited. Dream Alone, cast off the shroud of the living undead. Dream Alone, block off the halls where you used to dance. Dream Alone, wake up to the fact that you’re chasing a ghost and you’re running… Dream Alone…

The air don’t smell so sweet w/o my buddy alcohol My heart don’t seem to beat w/o my buddy alcohol Time passes awful slow, feet don’t know just where to go My poems ain’t got no verse, vengeful clock ticks in reverse Them birds won’t sing their songs, heart and soul can’t get along Why does the sun still rise at all, w/o my buddy alcohol? My friends don’t shed a tear w/o my buddy alcohol Their bruises won’t appear w/o my buddy alcohol Ancient sands they seem to speak, Foreign tongues prey on the weak, Suckers take their trophies home, Second chances start to roam, If it rains it won’t drown the seeds, I might be dry but my spirit bleeds, Why does the sun still rise at all, w/o my buddy alcohol? Rose garden turn to weeds w/o my buddy alcohol These open wounds won’t bleed w/o my buddy alcohol Full moon don’t shine as bright, It’s all so black and white, Sweet dreams lose their fantasies, Fresh fruit from poison trees, My room ain’t got no view, don’t know who I’m talking to Why does the sun still rise at all, w/o my buddy alcohol?

Dirty Mind 04:03
There once was a man, his name was Roy He loved his mama’s pajamas when he was barely a boy. Fore he came a man, his mama died. He ne’er took off the jammies again, just cried and cried. When his daddy caught him playing dress up games He beat the boy black & blue, said you oughta be ashamed. He got all grew up, without a mother’s love. Started lookin at the girls with a sigh & a rub. He’d go once, twice, thrice a day, Trying to jerk that pain away. But the pain would keep coming,& he would too. Stained his mama’s jamas ‘fore the day was through. Chorus: He’s got a dirty mind, life has been unkind He’s got a dirty mind it’s such a grind... He met a sweet lil thing, named Sadie Mae If she looked like his mama he’d never say. He thought if he could touch her, the pain would go away. Then he touched her too hard and she went gray. What happened to her body no one knows to this day. Chorus x 2 Not a soul in town’s seen him since Sadie disappeared. When they broke into Roy’s house, it was worse than they feared. There was a set of girl’s footprints walking through in mud, To a set of stained pajamas near a puddle of blood. Chorus He’s got a dirty mind (He’s got a dirty mind) Life has been unkind (He’s got a dirty mind) He’s got a dirty mind (He’s got a dirty mind) It’s such a crime, crime, crime.

That's Right 03:12
That’s Right, I saw you there playing; every part of me was begging you to look my way That’s Right, you were sitting pretty while I was getting busy playing Have we met before? I saw you look my way. Come here There’s nothing left to say. Walk through Oh won’t you walk me through The door? That’s right, you kept me calling your name as I sang hallelujah fo another round That’s right, we had ourselves a night; I don’t know if it was right, but oh.. You were all I see. Don’t make it such a thing Oh be. I got no diamond ring The one. How can you say that you’re for me? That’s right, you got my head spinning, Every part of me was grinning from the bottom up That’s right, you got my head spinning, thinking can I have some more, baby Let’s not dance around Won’t you come share the night For sure There’ll be no fuss and fight I need you with me, dance me through the night.

Lover had to leave me 'Cross the desert plain Turned to me, his lady Tells me lover wait Calling Jesus, please Send his love to me Oh, wind and rain may haunt me Look to the north and pray Send me, please, his kisses Send them home today I'm begging, Jesus, please Send his love to me Left alone in desert This house becomes a hell This love becomes a tether This room becomes a cell Mommy, daddy, please Send him back to me How long must I suffer? Dear god, I've served my time This love becomes my torture This love, my only crime Oh, lover please release me My arms too weak to grip My eyes too dry for weeping My lips too dry to kiss Calling, Jesus, please Send his love to me I'm begging, Jesus, please Send his love to me
